Driver

  Front Load/Side Load drivers are responsible for the collection of garbage and recycling material. The position may require physical exertion such as pushing and pulling of containers and/or lifting up to 60lbs.

Drivers are expected to communicate professionally with customers and dispatchers at all times. This includes receiving complaints about schedules and quality of service. Our drivers must make note of and report on any such complaints and respond in a courteous and respectful manner.

Drivers must be able to read and understand a map, complete daily driver logs, including pre and post trip vehicle inspections. This position will require you to work in all weather including extreme cold, extreme heat, wet and dry conditions. Work hours will vary daily. Drivers are required to work all holidays except Christmas Day and New Year's Day.

Requirements:
*Class A or B CDL
*Must be at least 18 years of age or older
*Must have a clean driving record
*Must be able to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations
*Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment drug screen, background and motor vehicle records check and Department of Transportation physical.

Position is based in Canby, Oregon. 

Hours: Monday through Friday, 6am - varies. Route lengths can vary by day, so some days may be longer than others.

Diesel Mechanic / Millwright 

  Our maintenance technicians perform preventative maintenance, run inspections, diagnostics tests, and repair a variety of vehicles and equipment including front-end loaders, automated side loaders, roll offs, forklifts, skid steers, wheel loaders, conveyor equipment, compaction equipment, etc.

Technicians responsibilities include:

*Diagnoses mechanical problems on suspension, brake system, electrical system, hydraulic system, air systems, drive train, diesel and gas engines and transmissions. 
*Examines protective guards and specified safety devices on trucks, and make adjustments. 
*Reads and interprets DVIRs (daily vehicle inspection reports), communicates with supervisor and/or driver for clarification of problems. 
*Inspects repairs completed by outside vendors and/or manufacturers. 
*Completes paperwork associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for time.
*Makes emergency road calls to repair trucks. 
*Assess structural damage and assign needed repairs. 
*Follows all safety policies and procedures. 

Since we are in the waste industry, our equipment can be dirty and have unpleasant odors. Technicians may also be exposed to extreme weather conditions. Our shop is busy and often times Technicians are expected to work on several different and demanding tasks that require substantial effort and commitment. Computer skills are necessary to complete required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software.

Our Technicians may need to make road calls or perform test drives, so a valid driver's license and a clean driving record are necessary. Technicians will be required to obtain a CDL license within 6 months of hire. Physical requirements of this position include the ability to push, pull, drag, and lift items up to 100 pounds, and occasionally must work at shoulder level with equipment weighing up to 25 pounds. 

Work hours may require overtime, weekends and/or holidays. 

Minimum qualifications of this position include: 

*3 years experience working on heavy trucks and diesel engines 
*Valid driver's license with clean driving record and must be able to obtain a CDL within 6 months of employment
*Must be able to supply your own complete set of hand tools and impact wrenches 
*Successfully pass pre-employment drug screen, background and motor vehicle records check. 
*Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
